# AI readiness assessment

**AI readiness assessment:** A structured check of whether a workflow or organisation has the owner, accessible representative data, process stability, risk tolerance and measurement needed to run AI in production.

## Why it matters

Readiness is most useful when scored per workflow rather than per company, because one team can be ready to automate document intake while another has no owner, no data access and no metric. Scoring workflows also produces a ranked shortlist, which is exactly what a first build needs.
