What is AI transformation?
AI transformation is redesigning a company's workflows, roles and systems so AI reliably handles judgement-heavy steps while ordinary software handles correctness-critical steps, measured by business outcomes such as hours saved, cycle time, error rate or revenue.
The useful test is whether any workflow now runs differently every day. Buying licences for an AI assistant is adoption, not transformation. Transformation shows up as a changed process: an inbound email triaged and drafted by a model, checked by code, approved by a person, and measured against a baseline. Most companies get there one workflow at a time, reusing the same building blocks (ingestion, review UI, logging, evals) so each cycle is faster than the last.
